Big Deep-Cheeps (formerly known as Mega Deep-Cheeps are enemies in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They are a large sub-species of Deep Cheeps (green with a mohawk-like dorsal fin and menacing faces). These enemies appear in World 1-4 (most likely not in World 8-4). If they don't appear in World 8-4, then they are rarer than Deep-Cheeps, sadly. Big Deep-Cheeps attack the same as Deep-Cheeps only that they are bigger. They will swim forward in an odd pattern with a Deep-Cheep following behind (World 1-4). When Mario and his crew (Luigi, Blue Toad, and Yellow Toad) near this enemy, it slowly gives chase after them, much like a regular Deep-Cheep. They are much easier to get past, making them different from Spiny Cheep-Cheeps. Big Deep-Cheeps are as weak as Deep-Cheeps, for one Fireball from Fire Mario (after obtaining the Fire Flower. They can also be defeated by touching them while under the effects of a Starman, as well as be frozen for good if Ice Mario (or Ice Luigi, Ice Blue Toad, or Ice Yellow Toad) or Penguin Mario (Luigi, Blue Toad, Yellow Toad) fires an ice ball at them. Also, much like Mega Cheep-Cheeps, who are only a tiny bit bigger than Cheep-Cheeps (in NSMB Wii only), Big Deep-Cheeps are only a tiny bit bigger than Deep-Cheeps. Also if Mario (or any of his crew members) touch a Big Deep-Cheep, they will lose a form or die if at small form.
