Bonsly is a new type of Pokemon that comes out of a Poke Ball in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It is a quite common character to come out of a Poke Ball. When Bonsly appears, it uses its attack, which is called Flail. So, when Bonsly appears, it says its name and begins to walk around the stage until it disappears. THAT'S IT?!! USELESS!!! WEAK!!! BUT!!! Here's the trick to it. Any character (opponents or even the summoner) can pick up Bonsly. Bonsly, even though it is very small, is very heavy. Because of this, characters carrying Bonsly will carry it as if carrying a heavy Item, such as a Barrel, Party Ball, Rolling Crate, etc. If the players press the button they used to grab Bonsly, they will throw it a short distance. So, if the player or an opponent throws Bonsly at an opposing character and it hits, that character will take great Damage and Knockback. Since the effect of getting hit by a thrown Bonsly is so powerful, this attack is almost guaranteed a KO. Players and opponents can throw Bonsly as many times as they want until the Pokemon disappears, making it a very useful Pokemon for a short time. It is very powerful for a common type of Pokemon in the game. Players, however, must watch Bonsly, for it can walk off the stage, shortening the time it should normally be on stage. Bonsly also has its own Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Bonsly's Trophy in SSBB
A Bonsai Pokemon. It looks like a plant, but its history reveals it is actually a Rock-type. Its best move among all its specialty moves is Fake Tears. As it grows, it will become skilled at using Mimic, which allows it to copy an opponent's previous move. If it levels up under certain conditions, it evolves into Sudowoodo.
