Bubbles are obstacles (and are bubbles) in Super Mario Galaxy and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. In Super Mario Galaxy the Bubble has two roles. Bubbles can be found in underwater levels. They refill Mario's oxygen meter when touched. There are also Bubbles on land, which Mario can enter and ride on. The player must use the Wii Remote to control the Bubble in the direction, you wish to go. You can blow it by pressing the A button. In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Bubbles appear in multiplayer. When a character loses a life, he will appear in a Bubble. You can also get in a Bubble by pressing the A button. The player is immune in the Bubble. You can shake the Wii Remote to move closer to the remaining players. There are also Giant Bubbles that appear in World 7-2 of World 7 (NSMB Wii). They are much different from a regular Bubble and are larger too. By entering a Giant Bubble you can still be harmed, and you will also act as if you are underwater. Giant Bubbles are aerial bubbles as well. This can help you reach higher places and also avoid enemies down below. Some Giant Bubbles move around like Quark Mines, others are stationary.
