Kirby swims close to a Saw Hazard in a stage in Onion Ocean.
Saw Hazards are dangerous obstacles in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. They are large rotating blades. Saw Hazards first appear in Onion Ocean. They usually slowly rotate in groups. Kirby (or Meta Knight, King Dedede, Bandana Waddle Dee) must safely pass Saw Hazards, as they cannot be stopped or destroyed. If one touches the heroes, they will take damage and possibly lose any Copy Ability they were using at that time. Fiery variants of Saw Hazards appear in Dangerous Dinner. They behave just like normal Saw Hazards except for the fact that these ones do not have blades and are instead made of fire. Touching these fiery Saw Hazards will damage the heroes like with touching regular Saw Hazards.

- Saw Hazards get their name from the tool named "saw". Even though no tool saws are shaped like Saw Hazards, Saw Hazards are called so because of the blades on them.
- The fiery variants of Saw Hazards resemble and behave similar to Firebars in the Mario series.
