Mario near a Firebar in Bowser Jr's Fiery Flotilla in Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Firebars are enemies/obstacles that appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Paper Mario, and Mario Kart Wii.

They are rotating rods of Fireballs. Some Firebars have one rod, some have two rods, some three rods, and others four rods of Fireballs. They are very common enemies/obstacles who appear mostly in Bowser's or Bowser Jr.'s castles, fortresses, or galaxies. Touching a Firebar can result in the player losing a form, or wedge of health, die if at small form, or spin out of control. In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Firebars mainly appeared in World 8, looking like sticks of fire that rotate (they have one rod). Firebars also appeared in Super Paper Mario. In Super Mario Galaxy, they appeared in the Sling Pod Galaxy, Bowser's Star Reactor and Bowser's Galaxy Reactor. In Super Mario Galaxy 2, Firebars appeared in Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla, Bowser's Gravity Gauntlet, Slipsand Galaxy, and Bowser's Galaxy Generator. Firebars are also used in the fight against Bowser Jr.'s Boomsday Machine in Bowser Jr.'s Boom Bunker. Firebars appeared in some courses such as Waluigi Stadium and Bowser's Castle in Mario Kart Wii.
