The Garden is a Dome on the Comet Observatory in Super Mario Galaxy. It is the final Dome to be accessed in the game and is unlocked once the Grand Star is achieved in Bowser Jr.'s Lava Reactor. The Garden is the highest Dome on the Comet Observatory. It can be easily accessed once the Red Star is unlocked on the Comet Observatory. The Red Star can only be unlocked here by unlocking The Gate, which can also be unlocked by achieving the Grand Star in Bowser Jr.'s Lava Reactor. The player must then use The Gate to warp back to the Gateway Galaxy and complete the Purple Coin mission with the use of the Red Star. Anyway, if the player does not want to do all this, he/she can simply take a number of Warp Pads to reach the Garden. The Garden is shaped like a pink pearl with a golden tiara-like object on it that sits atop a tower. A 1-Up Mushroom sits atop the tower and can only be reached with the use of a Red Star. This is one of the few places where a 1-Up Mushroom can be found on the Comet Observatory. Inside the Garden is a vast area that even has a sky. However, the player cannot wander outside of the cluster of rocks that mark the boundaries for the Garden. As with all other Domes, the Garden has a Pull Star above the center of the inside that can be used to access the Dome's galaxies. Unlike all other galaxies, the Garden lacks a boss galaxy. Also, the Garden can be skipped in order to access Bowser's Galaxy Reactor, for all the player needs to do is collect sixty Power Stars and six Grand Stars from the galaxies inside other Domes and talk to Rosalina after that is done. It is to note that The Gate, Bowser's Galaxy Reactor, and the Planet of Trials are not considered worlds like the Domes are.
