Gordos are enemies that appear in Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Return to Dream Land. They are small, blue, metal balls with big eyes and have 8 spikes on them. Their 8 spikes move in and out on their own. In both Kirby games, Gordos do not hunt Kirby (or Meta Knight, King Dedede, Bandana Waddle Dee); they just move around left or right/up and down or stay in place, making them more like obstacles. Gordos cannot be Inhaled, or defeated. They can only be avoided or be forced out of the stage or into a pit. In Kirby's Return to Dream Land, they appear in Sword, Hi-Jump, Bomb, Water, Wing, and Item Challenges. Also in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Gordos come in normal size, medium size and giant sizes. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Gordos appear as both a Trophy and a Sticker. Also, Gordos appear in King Dedede's Final Smash, Waddle Dee Army. They are the rarest to appear during his Final Smash, however any opponent who comes in contact with the bouncing Gordos during it will take great Damage and Knockback, usually resulting in a KO. King Dedede also rarely throws Gordos using his Side-Smash. These Gordos also give great Damage and Knockback to any opponent hit with the thrown Gordo.
- Gordos behave very similar to the Jyks of The Subspace Emissary in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Not only because they both have spikes, but because these enemies do not hunt the player (they only move up and down or left and right. Sometimes they are stationary). They also only hurt players if they come in contact with them and both enemies cannot be defeated no matter what the player does.
- Gordo means "Fat" in Spanish and Portuguese.
- Gordo's name sounds similar to the word "gore", which means to stab or pierce. This name is appropriate because Gordos are covered entirely with spikes.
