The Nintendo Entertainment System was Nintendo's flagship system after the video game crash of 1983. It offered many flagship games such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid that would later go on to form series of their own.
Currently, Nintendo Entertainment System games (including some released only in Japan) are available on the Virtual Console. Titles published in the United States are 500 Wii Points, while previously Japan-only titles are 600.
