Parasol Waddle Dees are enemies in Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Return to Dream Land. They are a sub-species of Waddle Dees. Parasol Waddle Dees look exactly like regular Waddle Dees except that they wield a red and white Parasol and also give the Parasol Copy Ability when Inhaled. In Kirby's Epic Yarn, Parasol Waddle Dees appear in a few levels such as Sweets Park (shown in the picture to the right), Big-Bean Vine and Evergreen Lift. Here, they can be seen either floating down to the ground using their Parasols or just floating in mid-air, allowing Kirby and Prince Fluff to use them as platforms to reach higher areas. Kirby cannot Inhale a Parasol Waddle Dee in this game, for the Inhale ability is not in the game. However, Kirby can defeat a Parasol Waddle Dee by using his yarn whip to roll it up into a yarn ball and throw it. Some Parasol Waddle Dees walk about on the ground holding their parasol sideways. These Parasol Waddle Dees have the ability to block Kirby from using his yarn whip on them. In Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Parasol Waddle Dees now have orange and white parasols. They first appear in Raisin Ruins as quite common enemies, then later appear in later levels such as Onion Ocean. In this game, all Parasol Waddle Dees do is just float down to earth slowly. When they reach the ground, they will walk about while holding their parasols. Also, Parasol Waddle Dees are not the only enemies in the game wielding parasols, for the rarer Parasol Waddle Doos make an appearance in the game too. Parasol Waddle Dees appear with a new appearance in Halcandra. Here, they can be found in Dangerous Dinner. Parasol Waddle Dees resemble regular Halcandran Waddle Dees, only that they carry parasols. Halcandran Parasol Waddle Dees behave the same as regular Parasol Waddle Dees on Pop Star. Parasol Waddle Dees can be defeated by regular attacks from Kirby and his buddies (Meta Knight, King Dedede, Bandana Waddle Dee). If Kirby Inhales a Parasol Waddle Dee, he will receive the Parasol Copy Ability.
