Ness in Subspace (Part 1).

Subspace (Part 1) is the twenty-nineth level in The Subspace Emissary. It is the second Subspace level. It is the largest of all Subspace levels being larger than Entrance to Subspace, the previous level, and Subspace (Part 2) the next level. It has the same background as Entrance to Subspace, and also brings back the purple Subspace Doors, and the orange floors and platforms with blue lines. However, the level has its owen features. It features pink platforms attached to pink lines that swing side to side (much like the wooden ones in The Swamp), orange Subspace colored Springs, all blue Bomb Block blocks, all red Bomb Blocks, golden platforms that spawn a stairway of gray platforms when stepped on, and yellow falling blocks that look like they are lit by light bulbs with orange arrows (like usual). Subspace (Part 1) also has many enemies. The level has a main goal. The main goal in this level is not only to complete the level, but to collect the character Trophies that are scattered out about the level. Do you remember what Tabuu did to the characters during Entrance to Subspace? Well, he has their trophies scatterd about this level and the next. There is only one Orange Cube in this level, probably because of the trophy-collecting "game". When the player plays this level for the first time, he can only play as King Dedede, Ness, or Luigi.


Plot

The level follows the events of Entrance to Subspace. After the characters have been turned into trophies, the cutscene plays showing King Dedede's castle. Luigi, Ness, and King Dedede are stuck in trophy form. King Dededes brooches however, revives Luigi and Ness. After they have been revived from trophy form, the duo decide to save King Dedede and the 3 heroes set off to find the rest of the characters.


Walkthrough

When the level begins, the player should begin moving. The floor will soon end. There is a platform in midair with a Glice rolling on it, and a lower floor with four Bombeds. The player should jump on the platform in midair and defeat the Glice there. He will see another platform in midair with a Glice rolling on it. After the Glice is defeated, the player should run to the other side of the platform (the side to the player's right) and fall through the space betweem the two platforms onto the lower floor. He will be in between four Bombeds: two on his left, and two on his right. The player should quickly defeat the ones on his left. the ones on his right will throw their bomb heads and run, eventually falling down a gap to the player's far right. After the Bombeds are defeated, the player should run back to the floor where he was on, and jump there. He should run back to where he started. Now, the player should turn around and run back the platform with the Glice. He should jump here. Now, instead of falling through the space between the two platforms, the player should jump to the next platform in midair and defeat the Glice that is there. A Feyesh will "swim" towards the player. The Bombeds that fell down the gap will be underneath the player. After the Glice and Feyesh are defeated, the player should run to edge of the platform on the player's right and fall to the floor. The Bombeds should be to the player's left. The player should defeat the two remaining Bombeds. After they are defeated, the player should turn around and run until he reaches the gap, the Bombeds fell in. He will see a platform with a Glice rolling on it. The player should jump here and defeat the Glice. From here, the player will see another platform with a Glice rolling on it. After the Glice is defeated, the player should jump here and defeat the Glice. A Feyesh will near the player. After the enemies are defeated, the player should jump to a nearby floor with a Door. Here, there is a platform in midair with a Trophy of Samus and a Glice rolling on it. The player should jump to this platform and defeat the Glice. After it is defeated, the player should collect the Trophy of Samus. Congratulations! You collected one character Trophy! However, there are still more to go. The player should fall off the platform and enter the Door. Inside, the player will be on a floor. There is a Towtow asleep on the same floor as the player and two pink platforms attached to pink lines swinging left to right: one going one way and the other going the opposite way. The player should run to the Towtow. While in front of it, the player should use a fully charged smash attack to other very powerful move on it. After it is defeated, the player should jump on a pink platform when it comes nearby. When the next pink platform comes nearby, the player should jump on it. On it, the player should let it take the player to a floor on the player's left. A Poppant on the same floor, will run away. The player should jump here. Here, the player can fire a projectile or throw something to defeat the Poppant. If the player can't do neither of these, the player should ignore it. The player will see a Door to his right on a floor. The player should jump and double jump here. He should enter the Door. Inside, the player will fall past some platforms onto a floor with falling blocks to the player's left. There is a platform above the player slightly to his right with a Trophy of Pit. The player should jump here and collect the Trophy of Pit. Two character trophies already! Anyway, the player should fall off the platform. There is a trophy of Falco in here, as well as an Orange Cube in the bottom left corner. After collecting Falco's Trophy (three Trophies collected!), the player should find and bust open the Orange Cube. After collecting its collectible (s), the player should jump back onto the floor he fell onto. Here, the player should jump to the platform where Pit's trophy. The Door is in midair high above the player to his left. The player should jump, double jump, and up-special to get near the Door. When he is in between the Door, he should press the jump button on the Wii Remote to enter the Door. Back outside, the Poppant on the lower floor will run away from the player. The player should ignore it. There are two swinging platforms attached to pink lines, one higher than the other, both swinging the same direction. When the lower one nears the player, the player should jump on it. Here, when the higher one comes close to the player, the player should jump on it. A Trowlon will appear. When it sees the player it will go down. When it carries the player upwards, the player should use a down smash attack/down-special move to defeat it. He should land back on the higher swinging platform (or floor with Door leading to where Pit and Falco's trophies were) if it is not there yet). If the player landed on the lower swinging platform or Door leading to where Pit and Falco's trophies were, he should jump on the higher swinging platform (if landed on lower swinging platform) or jump onto the lower swinging platform, and from there, jump to the higher swinging platform (if landed on floor with Door leading to where Pit and Falco's trophies were). On the higher swinging platform, the player should jump (double jump and up-special if needed) to a small platform in the middle of the screen. A Trowlon will appear above the player from a platform to the player's left. The player should jump and attack it with an aerial attack when it is above the player. After it is defeated, the player should notice a floor to his right above him with a Trophy of Lucas on it. The player should jump and double jump (up-special if needed) here. After the Trophy of Lucas has been collected the player should notice a platform above the platform the player jumped from above the player to his left. The player should jump here. He should run to the other side of the platform and fall down to a floor beneath the player ot his left. The player should fire a projectile or throw something facing left. If he hears the defeat noise, he has just defeated a Poppant. You see, the floor the Poppant is on has more of it out of view than into view, while the previous one has more of it into view than out of view. Now, the player should jump back to the platform with the Door and enter the Door. Inside, the player should run right to encounter a Big Primid. After it is defeated, the player should run a little to find a golden platform. The player should jump on it. A stairway of gray platforms will appear going up. However, two Feyeshes will swim towards the player from his right. After they are defeated, the player should quickly jump from gray platform to gray platform before they disappear. He will eventually jump on another golden platform. However, this golden platform serves as the ending of the stairway, and also summons the stairway of gray platforms that just appeared. From here, the player should jump onto a platform in between the golden platform the player is on and another golden platform. Here, the player will see a golden platform right above him holding a Trophy of Donkey Kong. The player should ignore the Trophy and run to the other side (the side on the player's left) and fall onto the golden platform there. When the player lands on it, a stairway of gray platforms going down. The player should go down to find a Spaceshifting Wormhole spawning Bytans on a floor. A Big Primid is usally nearby. If not, follow the instructions after destroying the Spaceshifting Wormhole, Bytans, Feyesh and collecting a Trophy of Ike. There is a platform in midair over the floor holding a Trophy of Ike. The player should defeat the Bytans and Big Primid (if it is there), and destroy the Spaceshifting Wormhole. After the enemies are defeated, and the Spaceshifting Wormhole is destroyed, the player should jump on the platform in midair. Here, the player should collect the Trophy of Ike. 5 Trophies already! After collecting Ike's Trophy, the player should jump to cause a Feyesh to appear. Also, if the player goes back up using the same gray platforms he went down with will cause the same Feyesh to appear. After it is defeated, if the player has not found the Big Primid, he should fall back to the floor. On the floor, he should run past a Door. The player should ignore the Door, for the that is the same Door that was near the player when he entered this room. The player should turn around now and run back to where the Spaceshifting Wormhole spawning the Bytans was. On the way, a Big Primid will be nearby. After it is defeated, the player should jump on a golden platform. This is the same golden platform he landed on when he went down using the gray platforms. When the player lands on the golden platform, a stairway of gray platforms, this time, going up will appear. When the player reaches the golden platform at the end of the gray platforms, the player should notice a floor to his left. However, the player should ignore it for now. The player should jump on a platform in between the golden platform the player is on and another one. This is where the player was before he took the gray platforms down. The golden platform with Donkey Kong's Trophy is above the player. The player should jump here. Some gray platforms will form a stairway going....straight? What kind of stairway goes straight? Anyway, the player should ignore the straight stairway. After Donkey Kong's Trophy has been collect (Way to Go, 6 trophies!) the player should jump onto the floor on his left. Here, the player should run until he ends up near a Bomb Block block wall with the Bomb Block at the top right. There are Springs before the Bomb Block block wall. A Giant Bytan will fall to the floor the player is on. After it is defeated, the player should notice the Bomb Blocks are all blue, the Bomb Block itself is all red, and the Springs are orange; they can hardly be seen. However, all three objects look like they aren't solid and are made of lights. The player should then notice the Door in midair behind the Bomb Block wall. The player should jump on the Springs, and use an aerial attack to hit the Bomb Block. It will destroy the Bomb Block block wall. Now, the player should run underneath the Door in midair. He should jump and double jump (up-special if needed) then press the jump button to enter the Door. Inside, the player will be on a platform with nothing but a Door over a floor of Bomb Block blocks. The floor is going left and has a HUMONGOUS gap beneath them. The player should fall off the platform onto the Bomb Block block floor. He should run left to find a Trophy of the Pokemon Trainer. After the Trophy of the Pokemon Trainer has been collected, the player should continue running left until he collapses into a wall of Bomb Block blocks that is shaped like a square. In the middle of the "square" is a Trophy of Pikachu. The red Bomb Block is right in front of the player. The player should hit the Bomb Block. It will destroy the Bomb Block blocks. The player should quickly run left and collect the Trophy of Pikachu before it falls into the gap. After collecting Pikachu's Trophy (Way to Go!) the player should now make sure he doesn't fall down the gap. The player should run as fast as he can back to the platform with the Door, for the Bomb Block blocks are destroyed pretty quickly. The player should jump onto the platform with the Door and enter the Door. Outside, the player should jump over the Springs and run to the edge of the floor. A Giant Bytan will fall behind the player. After it is defeated, the player should jump up to the golden platform where Donkey Kong's trophy was. A stairway of platforms going straight will appear. The player should quickly jump from gray platform to gray platform until he reaches the golden platform at the end. While the player jumps a Feyesh will near the player. The player should quickly defeat it. After it is defeated, the player should continue jumping until he reaches the golden platform. There, a Feyesh will near the player, and a floor is to the player's right. After the Feyesh is defeated, the player should jump onto the floor. He should continue moving. A lower floor can be seen beneath the player. Close to the floor's end, the player will pass by a Spaceshifting Wormhole spawning green Mites, however, some yellow ones are nearby. The player should defeat any Mites getting into his way, until he reaches the end of the floor. A platform in midair can be seen with a trophy of Marth on it. The player should jump here. The player will hear a Roader and one will jump onto the same platform the player is on from a floor to the player's right. After the Roader is defeated, the player should collect Marth's Trophy and fall down to the floor below. He will find a Spaceshifting Wormhole spawning green Mites on his left and right. If they are spawning green Mites where are the yellow Mites coming from!? The player should defeat the green Mites and destroy the Spaceshifting Wormhole to the player's left. After the enemies are defeated and the Spaceshifting Wormhole is destroyed, the player should run left and enter a Door there. The player will be on a platform with a Door that is above a lower floor with a ring of Quark Mines circling the platform. A Trophy of Olimar is beneath the player, while a Trophy of Fox is on the same floor past the Quark Mines to the player's right. The player should drop through the platform he is on and collect Olimar's Trophy. Hooray! You got another character Trophy! Now, the player should use a fire attack to destroy the Quark Mines. Sadly, if you don't have a fire attack you'll have to touch them yourself, most likely KOing you. After the Quark Mines are destroyed, the player should run to the Trophy of Fox and collect it. After Fox's Trophy has been collected, the player should enter the Door to exit the room. What many character trophies you have! Keep it up! Outside, the player should run past the platform in midair, to the Spaceshifting Wormhole below the floor to the player's right. Here, the player should defeat the green and yellow Mites and destroy the Spaceshifting Wormhole. After the enemies are defeated and the Spaceshifting Wormhole is destroyed, the player should notice a Roader on the floor above the player. When it moves itself above the player, the player should jump and use an up aerial attack to defeat it. The player should then jump onto the floor the Roader was on. The player should run right to find a Door. The player should enter the Door. He will find himself on a platform above a floor of falling blocks. The player should fall on the blocks. He should quickly run across them, just like he was when he was trying to outrun the destroying Bomb Block blocks earlier. While the player is running a Puppit will fall to earth. Soon a platform will come into view, and two more Puppits will fall to earth on opposite sides of the platform. The player should jump here. The Puppits that just fell to earth, plus the one that fell earlier will try to attack and KO the player. After they are defeated, the player should jump and move himself right to come near a brick wall (they look nothing like bricks, for they look like blocks lit up by an invisible light bulb). Anyway, when the player comes near the brick wall, he should use side aerial attacks to break them. The player should then jump into the space he created by breaking the bricks. Two Puppits on opposite sides of the brick wall will appear. After they are defeated, the player should break another brick (if one is still blocking his path) and run onto some more falling blocks. Soon a platform with a Door will appear. It is attached to some Bomb block blocks. The player should jump here. He should notice the Mr. Game & Watch Trophy on the other side of the Bomb Block block wall beneath the player to his right, some falling blocks attached to the Bomb Block block wall on the other side of the wall, and the Bomb Block itself is to the right of the last falling block. The player should follow these instructions carefully, and he may die by doing this. The player should drop through the platform when he is underneath the last falling block. When the falling block falls, the player should hit the Bomb Block. The Bomb Block block wall will be destroyed and a Puppit will appear on the other side. The player should jump to the platform with Mr. Game & Watch's Trophy. If he died, the player will be spawned back onto the platform with the Door. The player should jump on the falling blocks and take them down to the platform with Mr. Game & Watch's Trophy. On the platform, the player should defeat the Puppit that appeared and collect Mr. Game & Watch's Trophy. Now, the player should jump and double jump back to the platform with the Door. The player should enter the Door. Inside, the player should notice the screen is side-scrolling. It is side-scrolling in a circular movement. There are four floors, two higher than the player, another two lower than the player. A Trophy of Diddy Kong is above the player. The player should quickly jump here and grab the Trophy. After the Trophy is collected, the player should run right to find a Spaceshifting Wormhole spawning all colors of Mites on the floor beneath the player with some Electric Jyks "orbiting" it at a fast pace. The player should defeat the enemies and destroy the Spaceshifting Wormhole. After that has been done, the player should notice a platform with a Door to the player's right and a Trophy of Captain Falcon on the floor above the player. The player should quickly jump to the higher floor and run to the Trophy of Captain Falcon. The player should quickly collect the Trophy. Now, the player should quickly drop through the floor and land on the platform with the Door. Some yellow Mites will near the player. The player should ignore them and enter the Door. The player will be in a room where he can find nothing but a golden platform over the floor the player is on to his right. The golden platform has a Trophy of Mario, the last trophy of the level on it. The player should jump here and collect the trophy. Congratulations! You collected all the trophies of the level. However, the level isn't over, but almost. The player should jump on the stairway of gray platforms that is also going straight. He should quickly continue jumping until he reaches the golden platform. The player should then jump to a floor to his right. The floor has a Door. The player should enter the Door. The player will be transported to a battle against Bowser on a pink floor. A dead/unconscious Master Hand and a stairway leading to The Great Maze can be seen in the background. Items will fall to help defeat Bowser. After Bowser is defeated, the level is complete. After the level is complete, Luigi, Bowser, King Dedede and Ness will join your team. Also, the characters' trophies you collected are now revived and ready to be played as for the next level.
