Subspace (Part 2) is the thirtieth level in The Subspace Emissary. It is the last level to be played before the player enters The Great Maze, the thirty first and last level of the game of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It is the middle level in size of all three Subspace levels, meaning that Subspace (Part 1) is bigger than it, but it is bigger than Entrance to Subspace. However, the level is still quite short. The background of this level, is a brighter purple than the other two. It features most things from Subspace (Part 1), however, it also features Trackballs and their Trackblocks which look like green boxes that are lit up by a hidden light, and Subspace platforms moving up and down. This level has only one Turquoise Cube and two Orange Cubes. Because there are no hidden rooms in this level, the Orange Cubes are easy to find. This level, when it comes to enemies can be confusing, since there will be times that enemies appear. There will be times an enemy appears in its spot, but some other times it is not seen. For example, there may be a Bombed on a platform high in the air, near the beginning of the level, but when the level is played over and over again, it may or may not be there. The player has collected all trophies from Subspace (Part 1) (this is following the walkthrough on Subspace (Part 1) ), however, there are more trophies to collect in this level. When the player plays this level for the first time, he must play as Kirby.
When the fighters enter Subspace, they were turned into Trophies by Tabuu. Luckily, King Dedede, Luigi, and Ness are saved by Dedede's brooches and save most of the characters in Subspace (Part 1). At the same time, Kirby who had swallowed one of Dedede's brooches in previous levels, is awoken. Once the level is completed, , a cutscene plays, showing Kirby finding a trophy of Ganondorf and he studies it carefully. Immediately, Bowser arrives, and he bashes and attacks the trophy, probably because of what Ganondorf did earlier. While Kirby stares at the trophy in confusion, King Dedede leaps in from behind an hugs Kirby. This is strange since Kirby and King Dedede hate each other and are rivals. If Link and Zelda are rescued, a cutscene will play showing them reviving Ganondorf. They point to The Great Maze and walk towards its stairs. In revenge from what Tabuu did to Master Hand, he makes a fist of darkness and follows the other two. If Wario is saved, a cutscene will play showing Wario knocking King Dedede down. While Dedede trys to get up, Luigi and Ness point to The Great Maze. Wario's mouth drops open in shock. He picks his nose, to find King Dedede, Ness, and Luigi climbing the stairs. He takes his Wario Bike and rides up the stairs. The other three watch him go up.
When the level begins, the player should move forward, He will pass a platform high in midair with a Trophy of Peach on it. He should continue moving forward until he reaches two Bombeds and a Scope Primid near a wall where the path ends. A floor is above the player. After the enemies are defeated, the player should turn around and run back. A Feyesh will near him, a Bombed will be on the platform high in midair that the player passed before, and another Bombed will fall to the floor (unless it already fell before the player got there). The Feyesh and Bombed on the platform in midair will not always be here when the level is played (not meaning they're somewhere else, but they just don't appear at all). The player should defeat the Feyesh and Bombed on the ground. After they are defeated, he should jump, and double jump (up-special if needed) to reach the platform. He should defeat the Bombed there. After it is defeated, the player should collect Peach's Trophy. From here, the player should jump to a floor above the floor he was just on. He will land here. There are some Quark Mines to the player's right. A long floor is above the player with one, two, or three Bombeds here, meaning any amount of Bombeds (one, two, three) will not always be there. To save some Damage and avoid being attacked, the player (if he has a fire attack) should use a fire attack on the Quark Mines, knocking the Bombed (s) on the floor above a little closer to the player, let's say right above or near the player. If the player has no fire attack, he will have to hit the Quark Mines himself. Now, he must jump up and attack the Bombed (s) above him. One or two Feyeshes will near the player depending on the amount of Bombeds that appeared on the platform the player is on (if it is three Bombeds there will still be two Feyeshes appearing). After they are defeated, the player (unless he is already on there) should jump to the platform where the Bombeds were. He should run to the edge. Near the edge, he will come across a wall of Quark Mines. Using a fire attack or himself, the player should destroy the Quark Mines. and continue moving. A Trophy of Zelda is on the floor below him. He should fall here and collect the Trophies. Some Quark Mines are moving to his right. The player should destroy some with a fire attack (if he has one) and then jump to a platform also to his right. For the characters that don't have such projectiles, will have no choice but to jump into them and land on the platform. This platform is very high and has what looks like a gap below. A Feyesh will near the player. After it is defeated, another Feyesh will near the player. After it is defeated, the player should notice the Quark Mines. They are "orbiting" this platform. There is a Turquoise Cube here. The player should bust the Turquoise Cube open. It will give the player an item. The player can take or leave this item. If it is a Superspicy Curry I would recommend using it to destroy the Quark Mines. The player should run to the left of this platform and fall down the gap. Shockingly, he will land on a floor. The Quark Mines are touching this floor. There is a higher part of floor to the player's left, that he can use to get to the floor where Zelda's Trophy was. While avoiding the Quark Mines, the player should run to the edge of this floor. He should see a platform in midair to his right. The player should jump here. Then, he should jump to a platform to his right, attached to a higher part of floor. Here, the player will see another Quark Mine wall on the higher part of floor. He should jump and use a fire attack to destroy the Quark Mines. For those who don't have a fire attack, must sadly, use themselves to destroy the Quark Mines. The player should jump up to the higher part of floor and touch the Quark Mines to destroy them. Now, the player should run off this higher part of floor and fall to a floor below. There is a platform to the player's left to help the player get back up to the higher part of floor where the Quark Mine wall was. The player should run forward to find an Orange Cube at the floor's end with a higher floor above him. He will pass an alcove in midair with two Quark Mines blocking its entrance and a Trophy of Meta Knight trapped inside. Near the Orange Cube is a platform attached to the higher floor that the player can use to reach the higher floor. At the Orange Cube, some Sword Primids spawned from a Spaceshifting Wormhole will try to reach the player. As long as they don't reach the player, the player should ignore them. He should bust open the Orange Cube and collect its collectible (s). Now, he should jump up the platform attached to the higher floor. Here, he should jump to the higher floor. Here, to avoid being damaged by Sword Primids while trying to get Meta Knight's Trophy, the player should defeat the Sword Primids and destroy the Spaceshifting Wormhole in midair here. After the enemies are defeated and the Spaceshifting Wormhole is destroyed, the player should run left to the floor's edge where he landed when he jumped here. He should jump and double jump, then fire a fire attack at the Quark Mines blocking the alcove's entrance. If he has no fire attack, he should jump here and touch the Quark Mines. Now, the player should jump once more to enter the alcove. A Feyesh will near him. After it is defeated, the player should collect Meta Knight's Trophy. After the Trophy of Meta Knight has been collected, the player should fall back to the higher floor where the Sword Primids and Spaceshifting Wormhole were located. He should run to the floor's edge. Here, he will see a small floor with a Scope Primid and a Door here. The player should jump here and defeat the Scope Primid. After it is defeated, the player should enter the Door. He will fall to a floor with yellow brick blocks that look like yellow boxes lit up by a light and the red lit-up-like Bomb Blocks to his left and right. The Bomb Block's blocks look like blue blocks lit up by blue lights. He will be closest to the Bomb Block on his right. He should hit the Bomb Block on his right. After that has been done, the player should hit the Bomb Block to his left. He would've created two holes, one on each side. The player should run to and fall down the hole to his right. He will land on a small floor with brick blocks to his right and a Trophy of Link to his left. Ignoring the brick blocks, the player should collect Link's Trophy. To his left, there is a small hole with brick blocks next to it on its left. The player should fall down this hole. Now, he will fall down on some brick blocks or a Bomb Block. Here, the player should notice that the entire floor beneath him is covered by brick blocks and Bomb Blocks. He should destroy the brick blocks using down smash attacks or down-special moves and hit the Bomb Block to his left or whichever is closest. After destroying that Bomb Block, the player should destroy the other Bomb Block (the one on the right). He would've created two holes with a set of three brick blocks stacked one another in the middle. The player should fall down the hole on the right. He will land on a small floor with a Bucculus. After it is defeated, the player will see another small platform to his left with a Trophy of Yoshi waiting to be collected on it. The player should jump, smash the brick blocks in his way (the same ones that were standing on top of one another) and land on this platform. The player should collect Yoshi's Trophy. Now, there will be a large hole in the middle between the two small platforms. He should fall down this hole. He will land on a floor. The player should notice that, this time, one Bomb Block is squished between them to the player's right. The other Bomb Block is below a brick block to the player's left. A Bucculus is here too. After it is defeated, the player should destroy the brick block above the Bomb Bomb using down smash attacks or down-special moves. Now, he should hit the Bomb Block using a down smash or down-special move. The player will fall to a floor made of brick blocks with a brick block wall to his right. The player should move forward to find that the "floor" of brick blocks is connected to a small floor with a Bucculus and a Trophy of Lucario on it. The player should destroy the brick block wall and defeat the Bucculus on the small floor. After it is defeated, he should collect the Trophy of Lucario. Now, the player should run back onto the "floor" of brick blocks and use a down smash attack or down-special move to break them. He will fall onto a large platform above a floor. There is also another platform to the left and to the right as well as one platform below the one the the left slightly to the left . The player can also fall onto the floor. If he does so, he will enter a forced battle. The player who fell on the large platform above the floor should drop through the platform to land on the floor and enter a forced battle against some Fire Primids, two Spaaks, and an Armight. Also, another platform to the player's right will appear. After the enemies are defeated, the screen will begin to move up diagonally. On the platform that appeared is a Stock Ball (a Heart Container on higher difficulties). The player should quickly grab the Stock Ball. He should jump from platform to platform defeating two to three Spaaks that get in his way and try to defeat him. The Spaaks can appear in different places each time the game is played. Near where the screen stops, the player must jump, double jump and up-special to a high platform. The screen will start to move right. Another platform will appear to the player's right with a floor to its right and another platform above it slightly to the right. The player should jump to this platform. From here, the player should jump to the floor. The screen will soon stop, and the player will enter a forced battle against Primids, Scope Primids, and two Autolances. Two of the Scope Primids appear on a platform to the left above a gap while the Primids fall on a platform above this platform with the Scope Primids. There is a platform above where the Autolances appear as well as one above the gap to the right where a Scope Primid appears. This platform is the platform to the farthest right. There is also a platform below the one near where the Autolances appear slightly to the right. In fact, you could say the Autolances appear closer to this platform than the other one, but that's another story. After the enemies are defeated, the player should jump on the platform to the far right where the Scope Primid was. Here, he should jump to a large platform with a Trophy of R.O.B. on it.The player should collect R.O.B.'s Trophy. After R.O.B.'s Trophy has been collected, the player should jump to another large platform with a Door on it. The player should enter the Door. He will appear on a large platform with an orange arrow pointing right hearing the noise of a walking Shellpod. There is a platform below the player as well as another platform below that platform slightly to the right. Quickly, the player should drop through the platform he is on and will land on the platform below the other platform slightly to the right. Here, the player will see a platform above him to his right and a platform below him. The player should drop through the platform he is on and land on the platform below him. Here, a floor is below him. The player should drop through the platform onto the floor to find the Shellpod making the noise earlier pausing movement at a treadmill-like thing that pushes you forward on the ground. The Shellpod will then move towards the player. The player should defeat it. After it is defeated, the player should jump to back up to the large platform he appeared on and jump to another large platform that is slightly slanted with a treadmill-like thing that pushes you forward on its edge. The player should jump here. If he lands on the treadmill-like thing that pushes you forward, he should jump off of it before it pushes him forward. The player should run to the other side of this platform and fall off (it is easier to just run past this platform on the floor the player defeated the Shellpod on, but you don't want to miss one single Trophy even though you can repeat the level and collect them again. Anyway, the player should run a little to find another Shellpod. The player should defeat it. While trying to defeat it, some Glires coming from an unknown place will roll near the player. After the enemies are defeated, the player should run along defeating any Glires in his way. Soon, he will come to a small gap in the floor. There is a 50% chance that a Glire will appear from here, if so, defeat it. Anyway, this gap is where the Glires are coming from. There is a platform above the player with a Trackball and its Trackblocks. The player should run back and jump onto this platform. Here, he will find a Trophy of the Ice Climbers trapped in between a square of Trackblocks. The player should jump and hit the Trackball to destroy the Trackblocks making the Trophy fall to the floor. The player should collect the Ice Climbers' trophy and jump to a lower floor. Here, there is a platform above the floor and a larger platform that is slightly slanted above that platform with a treadmill-like thing that pushes you forward on its edge. Anyway, one (or two depending on where the player landed after jumping) Shellpod (s) will near the player. Some Glires may roll near the player from either side. After the enemies are defeated, the player should run a little more to encounter the second Shellpod (would've been defeated with the first Shellpod depending on where the player landed, if had been defeated, ignore this step.). Some Glires may join in. There is are two platforms hovering close to the ground in midair with nothing on them, one closer to the player than the other (which may or may not be in sight) to the player's right. Anyway, after the enemies are defeated, a Ticken will fall onto the Subspace floor. After it is defeated, the player should jump back onto the platform with the Trackball where the Ice Climbers' Trophy was trapped and held. From here, this time, the player should jump onto the large, slightly-slanted platform with the treadmill-like thing that pushes you forward on its edge. If the player lands on this thing that pushes you forward, he should quickly jump off of it. The player should run to the platform's other edge. He will find two Auroros hovering in the air. Here, the player should fall off the platform to make the closer Auroros divebomb to the first platform that was to the player's right close to the ground when he was defeating the second Shellpod a few minutes ago. The player should land here and defeat the Auroros on the platform or in midair not too high above the player. Now, the player should run to and stop underneath the second (further away) platform. He will see an Orange Cube near a high cliff to his right. For now, the player should ignore the Orange Cube. He should jump to the platform above him (which was further away when he was defeating the second Shellpod). Here, the player should jump, double jump and up-special to make the further away Auroros above this platform divebomb to the platform (it is better to move yourself to the platform's left edge and perform the action stated above so that you don't get damaged by the Auroros' divebomb). The player should defeat the Auroros from here. Now, he should fall off this platform and run to the Orange Cube near the cliff. The player should bust open the Orange Cube and collect its collectible (s). After its collectible (s) have been collected, the player should jump back on the platform he was on when he "attracted" the second and further away Auroros. From here, the player should jump, double jump and up-special then move himself on the right to land on the cliff's top. An Auroros is hovering in the air not too high above the clifftop. After it is defeated, the player should continue moving. He will fall to a lower floor and pass by a Trophy of Snake trapped inside a square of Trackblocks. As he continues moving, he'll realize that this is a large and long path of one Trackball. He will then enter a forced battle against a Ticken, which is also trapped in a square of Trackblocks. Now, the player should hit the Trackball above him. The Ticken will fall into a small gap, which the Trackblocks were covering earlier, ending the forced battle. The player should run left and collect Snake's Trophy. The player should now run to and jump over the small gap to land on a floor. He should run until he finds himself in the miss of (involved in) a battle (not a forced battle) against a Roturret and two Spaceshifting Wormholes spawning many Bytans on small platforms moving up and down. Once the enemies have been defeated, and the Spaceshifting Wormholes are destroyed, the player should continue moving forward until the path ends at a gap with a golden platform from Subspace (Part 1) hovering above it. The player should jump on the golden platform to make four gray platforms appear plus the last golden platform. The player should jump from platform to platform. On the fourth gray platform, a floor will come in view above the player. However, the player should jump on the last platform, which is a golden platform. From here, the player can jump to the floor. The player will enter a forced battle against many Tickens and a Gamyga. After the enemies are defeated, the player should run forward to the floor's edge where he will see a large flat platform in midair. The player should jump here. From here, he will see another large flat platform with a Trophy of Wario on it. The player should jump here and collect Wario's Trophy! Awesome! Fabuloso! Excellente! Superb! You've collected all character Trophies in the level and The Subspace Emissary! However, the level is not over yet. The player will see another large flat platform with a Door here. The player should jump here. Here, he should enter the Door, and the level is complete. All character trophies the player collected will, once again, join his team along with some new guys, Ganondorf and Wario.
- The only music that plays in this level is Step: Subspace Ver. 3.
- The Ticken trapped in the Trackblocks can be defeated. If the player hits the Trackball, and uses a strong attack to push the Ticken to the floor to the right of the gap without defeating it, it will land there. The forced battle will not end until the Ticken is defeated.
- If the player stops at the fourth gray platform after touching the golden platform and jumps to the floor above, he will enter the forced battle, however, the Gamyga's head is in the ground. It's head has no colorful strips attached to it, its eyes are closed, and its bases are nowhere to be found. All the Gamyga does is wiggle its head until the player nears it. This therefore, is probably what Gamyga looks like before it appears out of the ground.
- After defeating the first Shellpod of the level, where the Glires appear before the gap they roll from, there may be a possibility of a Ticken falling here right where the second Shellpod appears.
