Samus in the Subspace Bomb Factory (Part 1).

The Subspace Bomb Factory (Part 1) is the twenty-sixth level of The Subspace Emissary. It is a quite large, quite short level. Its second part, which serves as the next level, is much larger. The level's main feature are rooms that usually lock the player inside with an enemy or some other thing like boxes or a switch. However, the level features other things such as walls and floors that move after something has been accomplished, Doors that appear after something has been accomplished, and platforms that move up and down with bluish tops and gates behind them.

Plot

When the player plays this level for the first time, the first cutscene plays, showing Samus and Pikachu running along a hallway. The level then begins. After the level is complete, Samus and Pikachu burst into the bomb factory, where they find the Ancient Minister and his army of R.O.B.s along with some Subspace Bombs. They prepare to fight, but the Ancient Minister looks resentful and refuses to fight.

Walkthrough

When the level begins, the player should begin moving. He will run down a slope, where he will find a R.O.B. Sentry. After it is defeated, the player should continue moving to find another R.O.B. Sentry near an elevator. After it is defeated, the player should run to the elevator. He should press the down button on the Wii Remote's D-pad to move it down. When it stops, the player will see two alleys on his sides: one on his left and one on his right. The player should run to the alley on the player's left. He will enter a room. Suddenly, a Door will trap the player inside the room. A pink switch is on the wall to the player's left. How do you get out of here? Follow these steps carefully. The player should run to the switch, jump, and hit it with an aerial attack. The Door will open. Now the player should run out of here, go across the elevator, and run to the right alley. He should enter the right alley's room. No Door will trap the player inside, however, there are two R.O.B. Sentries and a R.O.B. Blaster as well as a Turquoise Cube on a platform in midair. After the enemies are defeated, the player should jump to the platform in midair and bust open the Turquoise Cube. It will give the player Food. Now the player should run to the elevator and take it down. When it stops, the player will see an alley on his left, and the wall on his right. The player should run to the left alley and enter its room. The player will enter a forced battle against Glunders and two Shaydas, while a Door traps the player inside. After the enemies are defeated, the Door will open, and the player should run to the elevator. The player should move the elevator down. The player will see an alley on his left and an alley on his right. The player should run to the alley on his left. Here, a Door will not trap the player inside, however, a regular technical Door like the ones in Research Facility (Part 1) and Research Facility (Part 2), a Turquoise Cube in midair, and an Electric Jyk circling the Turquoise Cube. The player should enter the Door. He will enter a forced battle against Sword Primids and three R.O.B. Launchers on a floor with two platforms in midair. After the enemies are defeated, part of the floor will move backwards revealing a lower purple floor with a Door, an Orange Cube will appear on the platform in midair to the left, and a Turquoise Cube will appear on the platform in midair to the right. The player should jump to the platform in midair to the left and bust open the Orange Cube. After collecting its collectible (s), the player should jump to the platform in midair to the right and bust open the Turquoise Cube. It should give the player two Stickers or a Trophy. After collecting its collectible (s), the player should fall to the lower purple floor and enter the Door. He will be back in the room with the same Door leading to that battle the player just went to, the Turquoise Cube in midair, and the Electric Jyk circling the Turquoise Cube. The player should run underneath the Turquoise Cube, jump, and bust it open with an aerial attack. The Turquoise Cube will give the player an item (most of the time that item is a Ray Gun or Beam Sword). After grabbing/ignoring that item, the player should run to the elevator. Here, he should run across it and run to the right alley. He should enter the right alley's room. He will enter a forced battle against a Borboras, however an Electric Jyk is also in here. A Door will lock the player inside. After the Borboras is defeated, the Door is still locked and the player should run underneath a platform attached to the wall on the player's right. He should notice a switch above the platform also on the wall. The player should jump and hit the switch. The Door will open. Now, the player should run back to the elevator and take it down. When it stops, an alley will be on the player's left while a regular floor will be on the player's right. He should run to the alley on the left and enter its room. He will enter a forced battle against two Borboras and a Roturret, while a Door traps the player inside. After the enemies are defeated, the Door will open. The player should run out of here, and across the elevator. Now, he should run right towards the floor. Here, he will find a Bombed. After it is defeated, the player should move a little to find another Bombed. After it is defeated, the player should move a little to find ANOTHER BOMBED! This Bombed is near an elevator. After it is defeated, the player should run on the elevator. An alley will be on the player's right. The player should run to this alley and enter its room. The player will enter a forced battle against two Big Primids, while a Door traps the player inside. After they are defeated, the Door will open, and the player should run back to the elevator. Here, the player should move the elevator up by pressing up on the Wii Remote's D-pad. When the elevator stops, the player will find an alley on the player's right and a wall on the player's left. The player should run to the right alley and enter its room. A Door will not lock the player inside, and all that is here is a technical Door. This Door leads to the level's end, which is confusing because there is still more to go above the player. Because of this, the player should NOT enter this Door, otherwise he will miss out the rest of the level above the player. The player should, instead, run back to the elevator and take it up. When it stops, an alley will be on the player's left and an alley will be on the player's right. The player should run to the left alley and enter its room. The player will be trapped, once again, by a Door with nothing but five boxes: two being stacked on the other three. The player should run to these breakable boxes, and break all them to reveal a switch on the wall. The player should jump and hit the switch (unless you hit it while breaking the boxes; if so it will reveal a Door). A Door will appear on the floor and the Door trapping the player will open. The player should enter this Door. The player will begin falling to a floor. When he nears the floor, he will enter a forced battle against an Armank. After it is defeated, the defeated Armank will drop a Trophy, and the wall to the player's left will move back a little revealing a red ladder. The player should collect the Trophy. After collecting the Trophy, the player should run to the ladder, and climb it. The climb is long. When the player reaches the top (which is a platform), the player should notice a Door in midair to the player's right. The player should jump to this Door and enter it. The player will be back in the room where the five boxes once were. He should run out of this room, run across the elevator and run to the right alley. He should enter the right alley's room. He will enter a forced battle against a Roturret while a Door traps him inside. An Electric Jyk is hovering a few inches over the floor, and can damage the player if touched while he defeats the Roturret. After the Roturret is defeated, the Door will open. The player should run back to the elevator and take it up. When it stops, the player should notice an alley on his right and the wall on his left. The player should run to this alley. He will enter a forced battle against a Borboras, but an Electric Jyk is also in here circling around a Turquoise Cube in midair. A Door will trap the player inside. After the Borboras is defeated, the Door will open. The player should bust open the Turquoise Cube in midair with an aerial attack. It should give the player two Stickers or a Trophy. After collecting the collectible (s), the player should run to the elevator and take it up. When it stops, the player will see an alley on his left and an alley on his right. The player should run to the alley on his left and enter its room. Two R.O.B. Sentries and three R.O.B. Blaster will appear: two R.O.B. Blasters on a platform in midair, and a R.O.B. Blaster and the R.O.B. Sentries on the floor. A Door will not trap the player inside. After the enemies are defeated, a Door will appear on the floor. The player should enter the Door. He will be in a room with an incredibly low part of the ceiling and a platform with a Turquoise Cube to the left of the ceiling attached to a wall. The player should run underneath the platform and jump to it. He should bust open the Turquoise Cube and collect its collectible (s). After collecting its collectible (s), the player should Wall-Jump to the top of what looked like a low part of ceiling before, or jump, double jump, and up-special here. Here, he will find an Orange Cube. The player should bust open the Orange Cube and collect its collectible (s). After collecting its collectible (s), the player should fall back to the floor, and exit out the room. He will be back in the room where the R.O.B. Sentries and R.O.B. Blasters were. However, when the player exits the room, the enemies (the R.O.B. Blasters and R.O.B. Sentries) will reappear. The player should defeat the R.O.B. Sentries that are nearing the player. After they are defeated, the player should run to the elevator. Here, he should run across it and into the right alley's room. He will enter a forced battle with five boxes on the floor. A Door will trap the player, and two things will appear in the boxes. The player should jump on the boxes. Two Nagagogs will jump to the top of the boxes, where the player is and try to defeat him. It was the Nagagogs that were the things inside the boxes! After the Nagagogs are defeated, the Door will open. The player should run back to the elevator and take it down four times. If done correctly, the elevator will stop. A wall will be on the player's left and an alley is on the player's right. The player should run into the right alley's room. He will find a Door. This is the same exact Door that the player avoided before that leads to the level's end. The player should enter the Door. Inside, he should run down a slope where he will find a R.O.B. Launcher at the edge of the floor with a gap behind it. After it is defeated, the player should notice a platform with a bluish top (and also a R.O.B. Launcher) with a gate behind it that is moving up and down. The player should jump to the platform and defeat the R.O.B. Launcher. After it is defeated, the player should jump to the floor. Here, he will enter a forced battle against many R.O.B. Sentries and R.O.B. Blasters. After the enemies are defeated, the player should run to a higher part of floor to his right (during the forced battle some R.O.B. Blasters will fall here) and jump up it. Here, he should run where he will find the Goal Door. When the player enters the Door, the level is complete. When the player visits here again and wants to capture all the enemies here with Trophy Stands, he should ignore all alleys and go to the room with the three R.O.B. Blasters and two R.O.B. Sentries which when defeated, reveals a Door. The player should defeat the enemies and enter the Door. Inside he should exit the room. Here he should walk out of the room to make the R.O.B. Blasters and R.O.B. Sentries appear. If he does not get a Trophy Stand he should enter the Door, exit it, and defeat the enemies again. The player should defeat the enemies and repeat the process. When he finally gets a Trophy Stand, the player should carry it to any alley except one the one with the Door leading to the Armank (since Armank cannot be captured), the Door with the Sword Primids and three R.O.B. Launchers, and the Door leading to the level's exit. By doing this over and over again, the player can capture nearly all the enemies. Note that the Roturret and Nagagogs will need weakening, and if you are playing on intense, weaken any enemy you come across first before you throw the Trophy Stand. Try to avoid being KOed for that can put you in an alley, where you will be unable to capture that enemy in that alley.

Music

  • The only music that plays here is Norfair....
  • However, the music in the rooms with the Armank, and battle with the Sword Primids and three R.O.B. Launchers is Multiplayer (Metroid Prime 2).

Trivia

  • If the player defeats the first Borboras of the level in the room with the switch and Electric Jyk, enters a Door and returns back here, the Electric Jyk and Borboras will appear here again, probably meaning that they aren't the main thing when it comes to opening the Door there.
