Either this channel is present on your system by default, can be downloaded through the Wii Shop Channel, or will be included in a future Wii System Update.
The Wii Shop Channel is a channel used to purchase new games and channels (as well as updating existing channels) for the Nintendo Wii. When purchasing something on the Shop Channel, either a credit card or a Wii Points Card can be used to do so.
There are three main components to the Wii Shop Channel:
Virtual Console contains games from past systems, including the NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, SNK Neo Geo, TurboGrafx-16, MSX, Commodore 64, and Virtual Console Arcade.
WiiWare contains new games built ground-up from the Wii. The service is designed to allow small developers to put out games with low costs.
Wii Channels contains channels that you can download and place on your Wii Menu. Most of them are free, however, currently you have to pay 500 Wii Points for the Internet Channel. As of October the Internet Channel is now a free download. Anyone who paid 500 points for it will be reimbursed for it by downloading a free non-imported NES game of their choice from the Wii Shop Channel.
Here is a table showing the consoles that you can get games for and the prices:
Starting Cost (Wii Points)
|Sega Master System||500|
|MSX (Japan only)||1,000|
